2 Weeks Old

Connor is 2 weeks old!

Connor turned 2 weeks old this past Monday. We took him for his 2 week check up to find pretty awesome results. He now weighs 9 lbs. 9 oz. and has grown almost an inch! He's in the 70th percentile in all his measurements. His doctor thought he was an amazing little boy! We are so proud!

After weeks of no updates, I finally have some news. On September 27, 2010, Greg and I welcomed our little boy, Connor, into the world. He was born at 9:27 p.m. I had mild contractions all day Sunday, but on Monday morning they got stronger and closer together. At about 9:00 a.m. we headed to the hospital and found out we were having a baby that day! I spent the day in labor...got my epidural around 2 p.m., which made life much easier at that point. At 8:00 my doctor surprised me and said it was time to push. Unfortunately, after an hour and a half of pushing, the little guy had not progressed. He was face up and unable to turn to get into the birth canal. We headed off to have a C-Section around 9:00 and got to hear his first cries soon after. We did not know we were having a boy so that was very exciting. We brought Connor home on Thursday, September 30th, and have enjoyed learning as much as possible about him and adjusting to our new life as his parents. He is a wonderful baby...very happy and strong. We couldn't ask for more!

No News is Good News

I suppose that is true...considering I haven't updated in quite a while, but I have nothing eventful going on. We have about 4 weeks left at this point. It's coming very quickly. We still have a few things to get/do: new dresser handles, book/toy shelf, travel system, etc. Nothing we can't take care of over a weekend, but finding the energy for me is a struggle. I'm in the 2nd full week of school and have around 18 days left until my leave starts (as long as baby waits that long). I've still got to prepare for being gone along with getting the swing of the new year. I've moved up to 2nd grade this year, which I am much more comfortable with and feel a lot less worried about leaving this class. Everything will work out, I'm just ready to meet my baby!

Nursery Update

Here are a few more pics of the nursery as we are working on it. Right now there is not much more we can do until after our baby shower(s). Greg also has to do some work on the dresser.

My new recliner! It's so comfortable! I can see many sleepy nights rocking baby to sleep!

28 Weeks

Last Friday we got a real treat! We had a 4d ultrasound! It was the most amazing thing. I can't wait to meet our little baby! We got a video to go along with the pictures. Every time I watch it little one just rolls and kicks! Less than 3 months to go and we'll be holding our precious baby!

Week 26?

Somehow I missed the picture for Week 26, but got Week 27! This week welcomes the 3rd trimester. We have lots of stuff left to do, but have started working on the nursery. We painted the walls a pale yellow and my mom got the bedding we wanted. I'm working on curtains and brainstorming ideas for decorations. Unfortunately by this time of the summer I've decided on my classroom decor and setup for school to start and this summer I have not given it 1 thought...oops! I guess I'll be prioritizing over the next few weeks! Here are a few pictures of the nursery/bedding:
